Aqua Named Agency of Record for Sunscreen Film Festival in St. Petersburg

Aqua Marketing & Communications, Inc., has been named Agency of Record for Sunscreen Film Festival for the second year in a row.

As Agency of Record, the firm will again oversee all marketing efforts for the upcoming festival (being held April 28 – May 1 in downtown St. Petersburg), which has expanded in 2016 to include the design and creation of all festival collateral in addition to public relations and media support, social media strategic direction and on-site assistance throughout the four-day event.

Now in its eleventh year, the Sunscreen Film Festival in St. Petersburg is internationally recognized as a world-class event, one of only 23 Film Festivals in the U.S. to be sponsored by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2013/2014. Drawing an annual attendance of more than 20,000, the Festival provides independent films and filmmakers with the opportunity to be embraced by the public and discovered by the industry. More than 100 feature films – shorts and features – are featured in the Festival, alongside red carpet premieres, opening night and filmmaker parties, awards ceremonies, screenings, educational workshops, classes, celebrity and other signature events.

Aqua was selected following the great success of last year’s marketing efforts which included the coordination of the Festival’s first ever Red Carpet Press Event and heightened focus on the significance of the Festival’s 10th annual milestone year through public relations and social media efforts, all of which led to record-breaking ticket sales.
