Aqua Utilizes Drones for Two Recent Shoots

Agency One of First in State to Use Technique to Capture World-Class Marketing Shots

Always evolving to offer its clients the latest marketing techniques and technology used in capturing still photography and video, Aqua Marketing & Communications, Inc. recently completed two drone shoots for client, the Bradenton Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (BACVB).

During recent photo and video shoots for the BACVB – during which the agency secured shots and footage to be used in future tourism marketing work for the destination – Aqua’s internationally-acclaimed creative team, under the guidance of Senior Art Director Thom Hart, enlisted the services of two drones.


 
The unpiloted aircrafts, affixed with frontal cameras, are remotely controlled by a user on land and are the latest and greatest alternative to aerial and standard photography, providing multiple perspectives for each shot and a much safer and cost-effective option for those needing both up-close and aerial shots. Drones are also less invasive and more maneuverable than standard cameras.

“As marketers, it’s important that we stay ahead of the curve and offer the latest and greatest services to our clients, who have come to expect the best from us,” said Hart. “Drones provide some of the best angles for destination marketing photography, and the raw footage from of our shoots is some of the best I have seen.”

Aqua Done DirectionPhotography will be used for the destination’s website, in advertising and public relations efforts, in upcoming visitor guides and in other promotional materials. The video will be utilized in upcoming TV spots and made available as B-Roll.
