Video and stills showcase the most beautiful spots in Destin, Fort Walton Beach and Okaloosa Island for the upcoming Summer Campaign

A 74-foot luxury yacht, 53 cups of coffee, 34 golf swings, 22 on-screen talent, and 4 action-packed days of shooting – All of which adds up to one incredible shoot by Aqua for our client the Emerald Coast Convention and Visitors Bureau. Driven by the new ‘Count On’ summer marketing campaign that has been developed for the Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Okaloosa Island destination, the combination video and still photography shoot is just one of the many initiatives by Aqua to promote the area.

By combining the real numbers of the Destin/Fort Walton Beach/Okaloosa Island area, like 24 miles of beach or 8 beautiful golf courses, with abstract numbers, like two hearts beating as one or one memorable family vacation, we’re “counting” all the ways this is the perfect destination for a vacation visitors can count on.

During the recent destination video and photo shoot for the Emerald Coast CVB, the agency secured shot images to create video and print online marketing collateral to be used in future tourism-marketing work for the destination. Aqua, under the guidance of Creative Director Thom Hart, oversaw the efforts of Kevin Garrett, renowned award-winning photographer out of Atlanta, and Spectrum, entertainment branding and content studio out of Tampa, for photography and video.

“Even though it was an aggressive shooting schedule, we were able to maximize our time in accomplishing signature photos and memorable videos that we’re looking forward to rolling out for the summer,” said Thom Hart.

From sugar-white beaches, to world-class fishing, to spectacular open-air shopping, to fresh local seafood and championship golf courses, Aqua set out to capture it all during the four-days our team was in market. To help capture panoramic shots that would fully depict sweeping views and emerald-green waters, drones were used extensively in both video and in stills.

Photography will be used for the Summer Campaign, destination’s website, in advertising and public relations efforts, in upcoming visitor guides and in other promotional materials. The video will be utilized in upcoming TV spots and made available as B-Roll.
