Event Part of Overall, On-going Effort to Attract Important Business Targets

Following the demarcation, naming and branding of an important economic district found within the City of West Palm Beach, Aqua recently oversaw the unveiling of the Flagler Financial District for its long-time client. Hosted by West Palm Beach Mayor Jeri Muoio, the event also featured Russell Marcus, DEO Chief of Business and Economic Incentives representing the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, who discussed the District’s expected impact on a state-wide level.

Stretching from Seventh Street to Okeechobee Boulevard and from Rosemary Avenue east to Flagler Drive and the waterfront – and encompassing the heart of the city’s downtown – the Flagler Financial District (named by Aqua after American industrialist Henry Flagler) is home to a synergistic community of business, including some of the nation’s and world’s top firms.

As part of the unveiling, Mayor Muoio and Economic Development Director Chris Roog provided an insider’s look at the new district, discussed its importance to the community and role in the region’s on-going economic development, presented the District’s first place-making plaque to one of the City’s top partners and revealed a new website devoted solely to the District and outlining its many advantages for prospective businesses: FlaglerFinancialDistrict.com. Aqua organized and oversaw the unveiling event, including speech writing, event planning and media relations on site.

The Flagler Financial District unveiling was just one of the many projects currently in the works for the City of West Palm Beach. Aqua also developed and implemented the City’s overall brand, directed the creation of the city’s comprehensive marketing plan, complete with marketing, advertising, public relations and social media components, and is currently overseeing its rollout.
