West Palm Beach chooses Aqua for Economic Development Branding and Marketing

Aqua Marketing & Communications, Inc. has announced that it has been chosen by the City of West Palm Beach for economic branding and marketing. The City chose Aqua after an extensive RFP process that included several other firms.

“Considering that there are many outstanding firms in Southeast Florida, we’re honored to be chosen to work with the City,” said agency President, Dave Di Maggio. “We’ve been examining opportunities to extend our client base to Florida’s east coast for a while, and it’s gratifying to be chosen on our first attempt.”

Lead by Mayor Jeri Muoio, West Palm Beach has aggressively pursued economic development in recent years. The search and selection of a firm experienced in economic development and branding had been identified as a key part of the City’s strategy.

“Aqua clearly has a depth of experience regarding not only the general principals of marketing and branding, but specifically how they relate to municipalities and other governmental entities,” said Elliot Cohen, the city’s Director of Communications. “The firm has already demonstrated impressive abilities and talents that lead us to believe our relationship will prove extremely successful.”

Aqua has recently met with and surveyed the area’s key leaders and economic stakeholders and is in the process of conducting formal research directed toward potential targets of economic opportunity.  Additionally, the firm has aided the City’s efforts in identifying, demarcating and branding a new district targeted toward one of the economic sectors identified as having increasing economic impact for the City.

Headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida, Aqua is a full-service marketing communications firm specializing in economic development, tourism and travel, real estate, healthcare as well as a variety of governmental entities and authorities.
